FastForward Campaign

Overview

Vision: Advancing the Nation Toward Righteousness

On Monday, January 2, 2012, the United States Reformation Prayer Network launches its FastForward Campaign - a fasting and prayer initiative with the purpose of advancing our nation toward righteousness.

Our foundational scripture for this initiative is Nehemiah 6:15-16, which tells of the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem in 52 days. Likewise, we will engage in a year-long intercessory campaign to rebuild the walls of righteousness around our own hearts, around each state and around the nation, and then move forward into our God-given destiny.

We want to see Godly leaders and laws put in place.  Where there is immorality we want to see Godly virtue. Where there is corruption we want to see leadership above reproach.

We want to promote and sustain a Biblical worldview among the leaders of America and establish a Republic that is built upon and perpetuates Biblical values.

To accomplish this, we need to mobilize a well-informed army of impassioned voices and activists to bear up the nation in prayer, thus, the FastForward Campaign.

Campaign Overview

The FastForward Campaign begins on Monday, January 2, 2012 and ends on Sunday, January 20, 2013.  This intercessory initiative runs through the entire 2012 election cycle, the lame duck period and ends on Presidential Inauguration Day.

We will launch FastForward with a 21-day national call to prayer and fasting and then continue with 52 weeks of prayer and fasting, going state by state.

A national prayer guide will be released for the first 21 days of the campaign to help prepare our hearts and bring unity of understanding on the current state of our nation.

Focus on the 2012 Elections

Prayer for the 2012 elections is a critical part of the FastForward initiative.  The US Presidential Election will be held on November 6, 2012. Prior to these elections, each state will host caucuses and/or primary elections to determine which candidates will appear on the November voting ballot.

On November 6, 2012, elections to the US Senate will also be held, with 33 of 100 seats in the Senate being contested in regular elections.  The winners of these Senatorial elections will serve six-year terms from January 3, 2013 until January 3, 2019. Additionally, special elections will be held to fill vacancies that occur during the 112th United States Congress.

There will also be elections to the House of Representatives, elections for governors in 13 states and territories, and many state and local elections--all on November 6, 2012.

As part of the FastForward campaign, there will be strategies in place for saturating in prayer each states’ electoral events and getting the Body of Christ educated on the issues and to the voting booths.

The states of Iowa (January 3 Caucus) and New Hampshire (January 10 primary) will lead the way.  Visit USRPN.org for more information and prayer guides.

State-by-State Prayer Schedule

Beginning January 23, 2012, each state will take a turn to lead the nation in fasting and prayer for one week. For each of these weeks, we will release prayer guides targeting key issues within the state assigned for that week.

Here is our state-by-state FastForward prayer schedule.

January 2 - 22, 2012

21 Day Prayer Guide

January 2: Worship God and thank Him for all that He has done to shift our nation up to this point. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord and the people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance.” Psalm 33:12

* * *

January 3: Get your mind ready to believe that God can make some radical shifts in the nation in 2012. Determine to line your mind up with His Word and Will, and not with the circumstances, especially not with media reports! Repent of any doubt and unbelief. “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives to all men liberally and without reproach, and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith without wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.” James 1:5–6

* * *

January 4: Find out what the election issues in your state will be, especially the moral issues. Will there be a marriage amendment on the ballot? Will there be an abortion issue on the ballot? Know which way you need to vote on the issue. Determine that God’s Will, will be done in your state! Be BOLD and decree the passage or failure of these issues in your state.

The Family Research Council tracks state issues here: http://www.frcaction.org/tracker

* * *

January 5: We reap answers to prayers for our own needs as we sow into others’ needs. Try to find information on another state’s potential or actual ballot issues. Pray for them as you are praying for your own today. Use the same resource above, if you are not aware of other state’s battles.

January 6: For elections that affect you and your family, find out what candidates are running for which offices at the state, local, and national levels. Who do you want to represent you and why? Know if their ideology and character line up with God’s Word. Pray for those candidates to have favor with God and man. Decree open doors for them in accordance with Isaiah 22:22. You will need to do some research online to find state and local election information. Here are helpful resources for Governor elections and for U. S.

Senate and House Races:

* * *

January 7: Just as you prayed for another state’s ballot issues, pray today for another state’s candidate’s race. Use the resource links above.

* * *

January 8: Praise God victoriously for He is doing marvelous things!! “I will sing unto theLord for He has triumphed gloriously!…The Lord is my strength and song and He has become my salvation. He is my God and I will praise Him; my father’s God, and I will exalt Him! The Lord is a man of war; the Lord is His name.” Exodus 15:1–3

* * *

January 9: Pray for President Obama today. Ask the Lord, in accordance with Proverbs 3:5–6, to lead, guide, and direct him, and that he would humbly lean on, trust in, and rely on God as he seeks to lead this nation. Pray as thoroughly for him as you can.

* * *

January 10: Pray for your current Senators and Representatives. If you don’t know who they are, go to www.senate.gov and www.house.gov to find out. The websites will also show you what bills they’ve sponsored and what congressional committees they serve on. Pray over those matters.

* * *

January 11: Pray for the political races of your state’s incumbent Senators and Representatives. Pray that the God-fearing and moral will retain their seats. Do not be afraid to pray the doors shut to those who have not represented your state well. This is the other side of Isaiah 22:22, to shut doors that no man can open. Use the resource links from January 6th, above.

* * *

January 12: Pray that the Lord would position Congressmen and women in office from

every state who will work together to make this nation God-fearing and moral. “Kings shallsee and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the Lord that is faithful and the Holy One of Israel and it is He that chooses you” Isaiah 49:7. And, “He changes the times and

the seasons. He removes kings, and establishes kings. He gives wisdom unto the wise and knowledge to them that know understanding” Daniel 2:21

* * *

January 13: Determine to vote in 2012. If you have not registered, find out if it is still possible for you to do so in your state. If you have registered, plan to vote. Repent of any apathy you have had. Repent of any mindsets where you may have felt your vote didn’t matter. Repent of any religious thinking or “separation of church and state” thinking you may have had that Christians should stay out of the governmental arena. We cannot shift our nation unless we all ACT as well as PRAY!

Here’s the official link for U. S. Voter Registration (with many of other tools regarding voting and the election process): http://www.eac.gov/voter_resources/register_to_vote.aspx Each state will also have Voter Registration information, usually through the Secretary of State’s website.

* * *

January 14: Understand that those that are elected into office represent you and your family. Commit yourself to do whatever you can from now and into the future to insure that your values are represented by your elected officials. Ask the Lord to give you a change of heart and mind that takes future responsibility for this arena of influence, including making your desires known to your officials, getting to know them, if possible, and committing to pray for them regularly.

* * *

January 15: Ask the Lord to remove the lie of “Separation of Church and State” from this nation’s governmental philosophy and from Believers mindsets! There is no such language

in the Constitution. The wording of the Amendment is “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” The intent of the Constitution’s framers was to prevent a state-run religion, such as England’s Anglicanism, headed by the King. In a letter to the Danbury Baptist association in 1802, Thomas Jefferson assured them the Constitution would not ever limit an individual’s free expression of religion, reiterating the Constitution’s intent. Jefferson’s statement was turned around by an activist court in the 1947 case, “Everson vs. Board of Education,” to mean that the framers meant to keep religion out of government. This ruling has become one of the greatest enemies of God in our nation today. War against it today! Use the sword of the Lord, the Word of God, and strike it down in the spirit!

* * *

January 16: Pray for our Supreme Court. Decree that God will set judges upon the bench of our highest court that will not legislate from the bench, but who will adhere to the Constitution’s original intent. Pray that the Justices will rule morally and in the fear of the Lord. “And I will restore your judges as at the first and your counselors as at the beginning.” Isaiah 1:26a

* * *

January 17: Begin the day by praising God that the United States will become the “city set on a hill” that was envisioned by our Founders. Ask God to once again place godly elected officials in office who believe as our Founders did in this regard.

* * *

January 18: Ask God to give favor to pro-life, pro-biblical defense of marriage, pro-fiscal conservative candidates. Pray that pro-biblical value candidates will be voted into office.

* * *

January 19: Believe together today that God will raise up conservative elected officials who also have a heart for the poor, who believe in social justice as well as biblical values.

* * *

January 20: Terrorism and homeland security are two very real concerns over the nation right now. It is not possible for an administration to fully protect our nation, whether domestic or overseas. The Word of God says in Psalm 127:1, “Except the Lord watches over the city, the watchman watches in vain.” Thank the Lord for watching over our nation and releasing His angelic hosts to this end.

* * *

January 21: The secular media are ever attempting to mold our thinking regarding the upcoming elections. As in recent past elections, they are already proclaiming winners and losers, and telling conservatives and the religious right that our cause is lost. DO NOT believe what you read.

If every Christian who could vote did vote on November 7, we would quickly shift this nation! Shut the mouth of the Accuser by praying and voting!

* * *

January 22: Worship the Lord for today we shall see the victory!! Isaiah 9:6–7, “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given. And the government shall be upon His shoulder. And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the mighty

God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end; upon the throne of David and upon His Kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this!
